Sunday 6 October 2013, 11am to 3pm. All welcome.
- Like the idea of growing food and vegetables?
- Want to meet your neighbours and have fun?
- Fancy lending a hand to transform an eyesore into an oasis?
Veg on the Edge (VotE) is a small group of local people who have a vision: to turn an unloved bit of wasteland behind Shipley Fire Station into a community food garden. We’re looking for people to join us and to help make our vision a reality!
We are organising the project in our spare time and are looking for people who can offer green fingers, help with fundraising and red tape, or just energy and enthusiasm.
Come along to our Information Sharing Day on Sunday 6 October for your chance to visit the site, share your views on our initial design plans, and get involved.
The wasteland between Shipley Fire Station on Saltaire Road and the Park Street playing field. Please access the site via the paved road next to Bella Mia Café, 206 Saltaire Road, Shipley, West Yorkshire BD18 3JQ.
The entrance to the site is paved and accessible by prams and wheelchairs. The site itself is very overgrown and uneven. Please wear appropriate footwear and watch your step.
We look forward to meeting you!
