We’ve been snapped…

…by Jenny Freckles at Salt & Light.

Jenny has written a nice little feature post about our ‘Veg on the Edge’ beds and has headed it with a lovely shot of the newly erected bamboo bean supports at the Caroline Street car park plot. Read more here and see the picture!

And while we’re talking about snapping why not snap up some veggies of your own while you wander through the village. I know Jenny mentioned in her article that she’s never taken any but we are encouraging you to take a handful of this and that, here and there. We’re all about the ‘Plant. Pick. Eat’ ethos here and if you can’t help with the Planting we’d love you to have a go with the Pick and Eat!

P.S. There’s some Swiss Chard on Platform 1 ready to pick!!

Have you tried the Bromley Bench at Baker Beds?

We now have a second bench at the Baker Beds site on Caroline Street. The bench has been crafted by John Bromley, local resident and friend to Veg on the Edge (thanks John!).

…So follow John’s lead in the picture below and take the weight off, have a perch in the sun and pick a vegetable or two while you’re there!
