Latin name: Rubus phoenicolasius
Location: Baker Beds and Japanese Edible Garden
What it looks like: It has relatively large green leaves with deep veins, spiky reddish stalks and flowers with small, red bobbly fruits. The underside of the leaves are covered in white hairs.
History: The wineberry originates from Asia but has been in the UK for hundreds of years.
How to eat it:  Raspberries are delicious eaten raw but can also be cooked in a wide range of desserts such as pies, cakes, jams and jellies.
